APRIL RILEY BOOZELL   August 1, 1955 - August 25, 2021

April Elaine Boozell, 66, passed away on August 25, 2021. She was born in Webster City, IA on August 1, 1955, the daughter of James and Doris Boozell. April grew up in Fort Dodge, IA and graduated from Humboldt High School in 1973. She then attended Iowa Central Community College to become a nurse’s aide. Following college, she was a homemaker, dedicated to caring for her growing family. April enjoyed interior decorating and reading, but nothing brought her more joy than spending time with her family.

April is survived by her loving daughters, Germaine Bierl and Dennielle (Blake) Chafa; grandchildren: Caitlin Smith, Adrian Schuldt, Orion and Alara Chafa; her siblings, Chuck Riley Jr., Cindy Boozell, and Robert Boozell, as well as other loving family and many special friends. She was preceded in death by her parents and a brother, Jay Riley.

A celebration of her life was held at Hamilton’s Altoona Funeral Home, 105 4th Street SW, on Monday, August 30, 2021, from 6-8 p.m. Memorial contributions may be directed to the family in loving memory of April.
