David J. Robinson, 22, Humboldt, was killed when the car he was driving left a gravel road one mile west of here and flipped over shortly before 10 p.m. Sunday, May 9, 1976.  Authorities said that the northbound car was apparently going at a high rate of speed and went out of control on a curve.  Robinson was thrown from the car and was dead on arrival at Humboldt County Memorial Hospital.

Services will be 2 p.m. Wednesday at Lindhart Funeral Home Humboldt, with burial at Union Cemetery.  Surviving are his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Kenneth Robinson, Humboldt; brothers, Michael of Humboldt, and Alan and Jeffrey, both at home; and grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. John Harms, Spencer.

Mr. Robinson was born at Mason City and attended the Humboldt schools.  He graduated from Humboldt High School in 1973.  He attended Iowa Central Community College, Fort Dodge, and was employed as a welder at Hagie Manufacturing Company, Clarion.
